Karibuni!
The Cheka Foundation is a Dutch non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the life and prospects of children in Tanzania. Its founders have been actively working in the country for over 15 years, supporting local communities and families. Our flagship project is Cheka School, providing completely free pre-primary education for about 50 children from the poorest families. This was followed by a shop to help raise money and we are currently seeking NGO registration. We also give non-refundable loans to selected families to allow them to start or expand a business.
We actively encourage responsible tourism, sustainable support and two-way dialogue. Tanzania is an incredible country - help us help it to realise its potential.
